Hi, I’m Jan—a designer and creative director originally from the Czech Republic. Code Switch is my moniker. I bring a mix of hands-on design expertise and leadership experience to the table, having worked on comprehensive branding projects both as part of creative teams and independently with clients across Europe and the United States.
I partner with people and organizations who see design as a powerful strategic tool—helping them shape their brand identity, clarify their voice, and translate it into bold, thoughtful visual experiences. I gravitate toward projects and causes I truly believe in, and I’m proud that my work has been recognized with a number of international design awards and regularly featured in leading design publications. In addition to my design practice, I teach graphic design and visual communication at the University of Massachusetts Amherst—a role that keeps me continually engaged with new ideas and emerging talent. I believe meaningful communication begins with listening— with empathy, curiosity, and the willingness to adapt.
